The digital space is crowded and getting more crowded. The tech bubble is projected to burst…but will it? Technology is growing at a rate never seen and new tools and software are making it easier than ever for companies to compete. This is leveling the playing field and creating opportunity for all who embrace it.

How does your company differentiate? The answer is simple. PEOPLE.

You’re probably thinking wow that’s kind of cliché. Although it may be cliché, it’s the truth.

I constantly reinforce with our staff and our customers that we can have the best plans, intentions, software, tools, and technology but without the right people, it’s all worthless. Our people are our biggest differentiator. Being a start-up in the digital and tech space is exciting and I truly believe our sustainability and success is tied directly to our ability to find, grow and nurture the best people possible.

I’ve been fortunate up to this point to surround myself with some of the smartest people I’ve ever met. The key now is the transfer of that knowledge.

“Disruption is critical in this day and age, and there’s no shortage of great ideas. Continued innovation and standing out is what makes the difference when making it — or not. All of this being said, having the right team around you and the right culture for your business will ultimately determine if you truly achieve success. Investment in people is the most important investment you make. ”

A wise man once told me there are plenty of smart people in this world but it’s rare to find individuals who possess both knowledge and wisdom. As I began to dissect this statement, it rung very true. We all know that person or have that friend who possesses a ton of knowledge but struggles using sound judgment in certain situations, or in other words lacks “street smarts”. Finding and growing these individuals is critical to success in any industry, inside any company.

The continued focus on building your network and staying in contact with past colleagues is more important than ever.
